Jill Smolinski's second novel The Next Thing on My List has just been acquired by New Line Cinema for a big screen adaptation. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kelly Bowe will be writing a screenplay based on the novel.

The story revolves around June Parker, a 34-year-old woman whose friend from Weight Watchers dies in an accident right in front of her. Parker later finds a list of twenty things her friend wanted to do before she turned twenty-five. The woman decides to accomplish the items on that list in honor of her deceased acquaintance.

The film does not have a set start date at this time.
