There are probably quite a few adults out there who are too afraid of The Nun to want a birthday party themed after the hit horror movie. So it's pretty surprising that a three-year-old girl recently asked her mom to do exactly that. And being the good mom she was, that's exactly what happened. Being that this is highly unusual, and kind of awesome, the internet has really taken to the story, which has gone viral.

The little girl in question is named Lucia. Her cousin Andrea recently posted some photos from the birthday party, which quickly took off on Twitter. We see that Lucia's mom baked her a cake with the demon nun Valak on it, as well as a costume for her daughter to wear. Plus, there were some very cool decorations, including a gigantic homemade Valak. Andrea had this to say about the photos in her post.

"So it was my cousins 3rd birthday and instead of having a normal theme she chose this. And if anyone was wondering yes her friends also participated in the theme."

Indeed, Lucia's friends also dressed up in appropriate attire. So how did this come to pass? It turns out Lucia actually saw The Nun on TV at her grandmother's house. After that, the young horror fan apparently kept bugging her mom to theme her upcoming birthday party in honor of the 2018 spin-off set within The Conjuring universe. Even though she's probably too young, by many parents' standards, to even be watching a movie like this, Lucia's mom obliged. The story spread like wildfire and even made its way to Get Out and Us director Jordan Peele, who had this to say in response on Twitter.

"Does she have a godfather?"

The Nun, directed by Corin Hardy, was released in September 2018 and served as a spin-off from The Conjuring 2. The character of Valak, which the movie is based around, was introduced as something of a last-second addition to James Wan's hit horror sequel. Audiences really responded to the character, played by actress Bonnie Aarons, and Warner Bros. decided to move forward with the spin-off. Though critics didn't respond to the movie very well, generally speaking, it was a huge hit, grossing $365 million worldwide, making it the top-grossing movie in The Conjuring franchise to date.

Bonnie Aarons actually got wind of the birthday party and offered to send Lucia a gift. Right now, Warner Bros. is currently working on The Nun 2 and recently hired Akela Cooper to pen the screenplay. It's expected that will be the next spin-off in The Conjuring universe to go into production. If all goes well, maybe Lucia can have another party for the sequel when she's around five.
