The Office graced our screens over 15 years ago and it’s hard to believe it’s been so long since we were introduced to the beloved workers of Dunder Miffin. Viewers were captivated in particular by Dwight's antics and fell in love with Jim and Pam’s love story. More than that, the series won five Emmys and had 42 nominations and proved to be a success well after the final episode aired, becoming a streaming staple on Netflix and solidifying itself as one of the most recognisable and adored tv shows of recent memory.

The Office left our tv screens in 2013 and has only grown in popularity since then. Recently, the cast reunited for a YouTube series hosted by John Krasinski during the COVID-19 pandemic, where they reflected on the success of the show. The Office continues to appeal to new audiences today thanks to the realistic portrayal of the office space. Indeed, there is no glamour or unattainability of the scenarios presented in the show; rather, the show finds joy and humour within the mundane. While Carell was praised for his comedic performance in The Office, he has also found success in playing more serious roles. This includes an Oscar nomination for Best Actor for his role in Foxcatcher. Most recently, Carell was praised for his involvement in Beautiful Boy opposite Timothée Chalamet, where his performance gained widespread acclaim.

7 John Krasinski

John Krasinski played Jim, who captured the world’s hearts through his romance with Pam, one of the most loved plotlines of the whole series. In real life, Krasinski married fellow film star, Emily Blunt and found continued success in acting and directing, most notably the hugely popular A Quiet Place, which he directed and starred in, playing leading role, Lee Abott who has to protect his family after disaster strikes, continuing with A Quiet Place Part II which was hugely successful post pandemic. He has also went on to star in Amazon’s adaption Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan based on the novels of the same name, where he plays the tiular character. It's clear that Kraskinski promises a continued successful career in film.

6 Rainn Wilson

Rainn was one of the most loved characters in the franchise, playing Dwight, the hilariously strange salesman with comedic moments that were unforgettable. Wilson has continued his success on screen by starring in a variety of movies such as, Cooties andThe Meg and Smurfs: Lost Villiage where he continued his comedic roles, and also found success in his role as Andy Sikes, a criminal in Shimmer Lake. In addition to his numerous acting credits, Wilson also wrote and published an autobiography ‘The Bassoon King’ and co-founded the website ‘Soul Pancake’, which specialises in positive and uplifting content

5 Angela Kinsey

Angela became known from The Office for her role as ‘Angela’, the uptight office worker who went on to have a secret office romance with Dwight. Angela continued to act in shows such as New Girl, where she played a small character named Rose however she has recently now transitioned into hosting a successful podcast with Jenna Fischer. The podcast offers a nostalgic view into past episodes, with the pair offering humorous and interesting insights into office secrets for fans to enjoy.

Fischer was a fan favourite, playing Jim’s Love interest, Pam. We watched her character blossom and ultimately end up in a relationship with Jim, much to the audience’s delight. Fischer continued to act in smaller roles in moves such as Blades of Glory where she played the comedic role Katie Van Waldenberg and Hall Pass as well as a role in Clint Eastwood’s film The 15:17 to Paris, where she showcased her vesatility as an actress by playing Alek's mother, Heidi. More recently, she began co-hosting the podcast 'Office Girls', with her co-star Angela Kinsley, in which they uncover secrets around filming The Office.

3 Mindy Kaling

Mindy Kaling played Kelly Kapoor, a loveable office worker. During her time on the show, Kaling also wrote for The Office, earing herself an Emmy nomination in the process. The Mindy Project was a series of her own creation and became another huge success for Kaling after the series ended, where she played the main character. Mindy also created the sitcom Never Have I Ever. Her most recent project, The Sex Lives of College Girls, which received positive reviews proves her continued success in the industry as a writer, producer and actor.

2 Ellie Kemper

The Office was the beginning of Kemper’s incredibly successful career in film and television, where she played Erin, the employee who took over Pam’s secretary role. Recently, she began staring as the lead character in her own comedy show on Netflix The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt which has proved hugely successful, earing her Emmy nominations and critical success. She played the main character, Kimmy, who is thrust into the modern world after spending most of her life in a reclusive cult.

Ed Helms played Andy Bernard and didn’t join until season 3. His character was memorable for annoying his co-workers, and eventually taking over Michael’s position as manager. Bernard found huge success in the film industry, going on to star in The Hangover, playing Stu, a dentist who wakes up with a lot of regret after a Vegas trip. The franchise was a huge global success and a box office smash. In addition to this, he starred in movies such as We’re the Millers and Cedar Rapids. He also found continued success on TV with shows such as Arrested Development and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, contuning his successful career in comedy.
