The Oxygen channel has gone movie crazy. According to Variety, the channel just made a nine picture deal with 20th Century Fox.

They acquired the television rights to The Devil Wears Prada, Shallow Hal, Music and Lyrics, License to Wed, and Catch and Release.

Oxygen's Debby Beece stated "We have a big appetite for movies." The channel runs movies during prime time at least five times a week. The cable network recently beefed up its movie-buying budget in order to make more exclusive agreements about what types of films that they can show.

Most of the movies they have purchased will air before the end of the decade.
