The latest Star Wars 9 TV spot teases the final battle with 30 seconds of action-packed footage. Disney and Lucasfilm have been putting out a lot of short previews over the past few weeks, raising awareness and excitement for the final installment in the Skywalker Saga. While we have seen what seems like a lot from the upcoming movie, we really haven't seen much when it comes down to the story as a whole. J.J. Abrams and crew are keeping a pretty tight lid on everything for the time being. In addition to the TV spot, a new poster was released, which puts the focus on Rey and Kylo Ren's battle on the Death Star wreckage.

Some of the newer bits of footage from The Rise of Skywalker TV spot takes place on the ice planet Kijimi. We see TIE Fighters descending on the planet to hunt down The Resistance, which we have seen before, but we also get to see the Millennium Falcon in icey battle. Poe is the pilot, and we see Finn take over on the rear blaster of this iconic bucket of bolts.

Elsewhere, we see an extended version of the scene where Rey and Kylo Ren are facing off as the Darth Vader helmet looks on. Finn also declares that The Resistance will not surrender and that they will "make their last stand" in the latest look at The Rise of Skywalker. There's plenty of action in the short clip, which features Finn running out on the wreckage of the Death Star to Rey as she takes on Kylo Ren. It's a tense promo and one that will surely see Star Wars fans going back to pause certain sections to try and figure out what exactly is going on. For instance, is that Emperor Palpatine's blue lightning coming out of a Star Destroyer?

Speaking of Emperor Palpatine, we have yet to see him in any of the new footage, except for the back of his head and his throne. However, we can hear him again as he says, "Let the final battle begin..." We hear these words as Rey and Kylo Ren are locked in a fight of their own. While there's not a lot of information surrounding the villain's return, J.J. Abrams admitted that he could not imagine The Rise of Skywalker without him and said it would have been "weird" to leave the villain out of the sequel trilogy.

While it's certainly exciting for Star Wars fans to know Emperor Palpatine is back, J.J. Abrams has a lot of explaining to do. The Rise of Skywalker was recently screened for the cast and will hold its world premiere in Hollywood a few days before officially hitting theaters. It's an exciting time to be a fan of the franchise, which is about to undergo some pretty big changes in the years to come.
