IFC Films has released the first clip from The Samaritan, which is currently available on demand through SundanceNOW, Cable VOD, Amazon Streaming, iTunes, PS3 PlayStation Unlimited, and XBox ZUNE, before hitting theaters May 18. Samuel L. Jackson stars as Foley, a former con man who tries to put his criminal days behind him, when he meets his former partner's son, Ethan (Luke Kirby). Take a look at this scene where Foley explains how Ethan's father died.

After twenty years in prison, Foley (Samuel L. Jackson) is finished with the grifter's life. When he meets an elusive young woman named Iris (Ruth Negga), the possibility of a new start looks real. But his past is proving to be a stubborn companion: Ethan (Luke Kirby), the son of his former partner, has an ingenious plan and he wants Foley in. The harder he tries to escape his past, the tighter he is ensnared in Ethan's web of secrets, until it becomes all too clear to Foley that some wrongs can never be made right.
