If you want to make some money, write a kids book. Before you know it, some Hollywood producer will purchase the rights, and you'll be rich. According to Variety, that's what just happened to Michael Buckley. His kiddy series The Sisters Grimm has just been optioned for the big screen by Josephson Entertainment and New Regency Productions.

The film will be based on the first three books in the series. There will be nine books altogether, which would turn this into a neat little trilogy. The plotline revolves around orphaned sisters Sabrina and Daphne Grimm. They are descendants of the Brothers Grimm, and they are on a quest to find their parents.

Buckley stated, "We had a lot of people who were interested, but it didn't seem like there was anybody who could actually get it made. And I didn't want to hand the books over and let them sit. Also, I wanted to find people who could make a movie that a parent could enjoy as well as a kid."

The film doesn't have a start date at this time.
