It seems the diminutive blue CGI creatures have found their leader's voice. UGO is reporting that comedy legend Jonathan Winters has been cast to voice Papa Smurf in The Smurfs.

The 84-year-old actor hasn't appeared in a film since 2006, but is widely regarded as a comedy icon. Raja Gosnell is directing from a script by J. David Stem, David N. Weiss and Audrey Wells.

In other The Smurfs news, Spoiler TV has gotten a hold of a casting call for the film, which confirms that these tiny blue characters will be interacting with humans.
