It's finally upon us! The Teen Titan movie is actually going to see the light of day. This is truly good news for all you comic book fans out there. According to The Hollywood Report, Warner Brothers is behind the superhero flick.

Akiva Goldsman and Kerry Foster are producing the film, with Mark Verheiden writing the script. Verheiden recently wrote the film My Name is Bruce, which sees cult actor Bruce Campbell having to fight a real life monster.

First appearing in 1964, the Teen Titans are the JV squad of the Justice League. Sidekicks Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Wonder Girl and Speedy make up the erstwhile team.

The comic series was very successful in the mid-80s. The team was re-launched during that time to focus on their college years. The film will most likely follow our heroes during this period.

It is not known which characters will appear in the film. But expect grown-up Robin, now going under the guise of Nightwing, to show up.

No start date has been announced.
