Triggered by yesterday's news that I, Frankenstein was moving out of its September 13, 2013 release date and into January 2014, two movies have stepped in to take its place.

Lionsgate has moved Escape Plan (formerly known as The Tomb) from September 27 to September 13. The movie teams Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger in this action-thriller about an attempt to escape a high-security prison at sea. In addition, FilmDistrict has moved director James Wan's horror sequel Insidious Chapter 2 from September 20 to September 13. Both films will now go up against Machete Kills and Battle of The Year: The Dream Team.

FilmDistrict filled the September 20 vacancy left by Insidious Chapter 2 right away, slotting the new comedy Walk of Shame in that space. The comedy starring Elizabeth Banks is going up against Prisoners and Rush.

In a final piece of release date news, Austenland has been slated for limited release on August 16, where it will go up against Kick-Ass 2, The to Do List, Ain't Them Bodies Saints, and Haute Cuisine.
