Executive producer and star Chris Pratt is hard at work on the set of his upcoming sci-fi movie The Tomorrow War, and the actor has released a first look photo of himself and his co-stars on Instagram. Previously, the project had been filming under the name Ghost Draft, but according to Pratt, the title has been officially changed to The Tomorrow War. The photo in question shows Pratt at the forefront of a group of armed soldiers ready to go to war with hostile extraterrestrials, and in the caption, Pratt notes his excitement for his first movie as an executive producer. You can take a look at the sneak peek photo of The Tomorrow War below.

Also in the caption, Chris Pratt jokes about the movie's name change by suggesting a plethora of other titles he had considered. Some of the more humorous ones include, "Saving Private Ryaalien," "Jurassic Draft," "City Slickers," and "HERO movie brought to you by Verizon." Additionally, Pratt says he's going to soon auction off a visit to the set and is also planning to continuously release plenty more behind-the-scenes photos from the Tomorrow War shoot. This should be fun for followers of Pratt on Instagram to keep an eye on, as this first set photo alone is pretty exciting even without the inclusion of any of the evil aliens.

The Tomorrow War is directed by Chris McKay using a screenplay by Zach Dean and Bill Dubuque. The movie is set in the near future when the fate of humanity is at stake in the wake of an alien invasion. With the humans facing certain doom, the world's best scientists develop a way to draft soldiers from the past to fight on their side in the futuristic war. Joining executive producer Chris Pratt in the cast are Yvonne Strahovski, J. K. Simmons, Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Theo Von, Keith Powers, Edwin Hodge, Mary Lynn Rajskub, and Jasmine Matthews. Paramount Pictures is set to distribute the sci-fi thriller.

Chris Pratt has come a long way since his breakout role as Andy Dwyer on the hit comedy series Parks and Recreation. He solidified himself as a leading man in Hollywood in 2014 by starring as Emmet Brickowski in The Lego Movie and as the superhero Star-Lord in the first Guardians of the Galaxy. By 2015, he took on another major lead role when he starred as Owen Grady in the Jurassic Park series sequel Jurassic World, a role he later reprised in the 2018 sequel Fallen Kingdom. He has also found great success by continuously reprising the role of Star-Lord, most recently in 2019 with Avengers: Endgame.

As of now, there's no set premiere date for The Tomorrow War, but it will likely arrive sometime in 2020. The movie should help to hold over fans of Pratt's until he reprises two of his major roles again in upcoming sequels to Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. He will also be co-starring with Tom Holland in next year's animated movie Onward. In any case, there's plenty for fans of the actor to look forward to.
