MTV has debuted a number of new photos in its Fall Movie Preview. First up, we get two new looks at The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2. The first image finds Bella (Kristen Stewart), Edward (Robert Pattinson), and Carlisle (Peter Facinelli) meeting up with members of the Amazon (Judith Shekoni and Tracey Heggins) and Denali (Christian Camargo and Casey LaBow) covens. Then, we get a solo shot of Edward Cullen as he traverses the cold moutain country of the great North West in search of his one true love (which is, I'm guessing, a cold can of Rainier Beer). Check them both out, and then read on for some new comments from director Bill Condon.
In debuting these two new photos, Director Bill Condon had this to offer about the film's running time.
"The running time is one hour and 56 minutes, one minute shorter than the first one and as such, I think the shortest of all of them."
He then talked about the end of the movie, which brings this franchise to a close.
"I feel like it's the biggest musical number I've ever directed. It does feel, when you finally get the rhythm of that right, it makes it, I hope, very satisfying."
Lastly, he spoke about the character of child vampire Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy), and how her powers are handled on screen.
"Her power, she touches somebody and she can show them what's in her head and that you develop. There are some visual things, but a lot of that is done through Carter Burwell's score, but then just recently in the mixing Dane A. Davis, who is a brilliant sound designer, he did The Matrix and so many other movies, he had her just speak and read poetry and things like that, and he's turned it into hundreds of tracks. You don't actually hear words but it becomes the chattering of her [voice], it's a very abstract effect that I've never heard before. It's really cool."
