The Twilight Saga Eclipse Blu-rayThe Twilight Saga: Eclipse: Blu-ray and DVD were released at midnight last Friday night, as opposed to the normal Tuesday home video release, but it still managed to top the charts after only two days. The Hollywood Reporter states that over 3 million units were sold during the first forty-eight hours of release, which was more than enough to conquer the DVD sales charts.

Two other new releases arrived in the traditional Tuesday release slot, although they couldn't come close to matching the high-powered sales of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The Sorcerer's Apprentice took second place on the DVD sales charts while Knight and Day took third place. However, both titles only managed to sell about 30% as many units as The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

While The Twilight Saga: Eclipse also took the top spot on the Blu-ray sales charts, The Expendables remained atop the DVD rental charts for the second week in a row. On the Blu-ray charts, The Sorcerer's Apprentice took second place with the new double-feature edition Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 taking third place and Knight and Day in fourth place in 1080p sales.
