Just days after the first trailer debuted for Jupiter Ascending, Warner Bros. has pushed up its release one week, from July 25, 2014 to July 18, 2014.

The shift follows 20th Century Fox moving Dawn of the Planet of the Apes from July 18, 2014 to July 11, 2014 earlier this week. Jupiter Ascending will now go up against Disney's animated sequel Planes: Fire & Rescue, leaving Paramount's Hercules: The Thracian Wars as the only movie slated for release on July 25, 2014.

Jupiter Ascending stars Channing Tatum as a genetically-engineered bounty hunter named Caine, who journeys to Earth to find Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis). Although she doesn't realize it quite yet, Jupiter's genetic signature reveals she is next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the universe.

Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski direct from their own original screenplay.
