Daryl Hannah and Naveen Andrews have been announced as two of the 14 international cast members for the upcoming Netflix series Sense8, created by Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski.

The other confirmed actors who make up this international cast include Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Aml Ameen, Freema Agyeman, Tena Desae, Doona Bae, Max Riemelt, Alfonso Herrera, Eréndira Ibarra, Jamie Clayton, Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Terrence Mann.

Executive producer and showrunner J. Michael Straczynski also offered the first detailed plot description for the 10-episode series.

"The series follows eight characters around the world who, in the aftermath of a tragic death, find themselves linked to each other mentally and emotionally. They can not only see and talk to each other as though they were in the same place, they have access to each other's deepest secrets. Not only must they figure out what happened and why and what it means for the future of humanity, they must do so while being hunted by an organization out to capture, kill or vivisect them."

The eight primary characters are believed to be Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Aml Ameen, Doona Bae, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Tena Desae, Max Riemelt and Jamie Clayton. No details were given for any of the characters.

Production will take place in nine locations on four continents, including Chicago, San Francisco, London, Iceland, Seoul, Mumbai, Berlin, Mexico City and Nairobi. It isn't known when production will get under way.
