Although production has been under way since May on Season 4 of The Walking Dead, it's never too late to add another cast member. Christian Serratos, who played Angela in The Twilight Saga, has signed on to play Rosita Espinosa in the hit AMC zombie series.

The character was introduced in Issue 53 of Robert Kirkman's comic book series, described as a tough and beautiful woman who survived the worldwide zombie apocalypse. The actress will play Rosita in a recurring role this season, with an option to become a series regular in Season 5.

It is not known when the character will debut on the series, but she joins fellow newcomer Larry Gilliard Jr., who plays survivor Bob Stookey, along with returning series regulars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Melissa Suzanne McBride, Emily Kinney, Scott Wilson, Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green, David Morrissey and Danai Gurira.

The Walking Dead returns with the Season 4 premiere, "30 Days Without an Accident" on Sunday, October 13 on AMC.
