The Weinstein Co. has bought the rights to the documentary film, Wordplay.

Originally in the solo hands of IFC Films, the studio will help distrubie it and sell the film at the Cannes Festival, taking place in France the 17th-28th of this month.

Wordplay was directed by Patrick Creadon; The Hollywood Reporter adds it foucuses on the life of New York Times crossword editor and National Public Radio puzzle-king Will Shortz.
