The Weinstein Co. keeps growing and growing.

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, they, and their home video shingle, Genius Products, have put together "two five-year pacts with RHI Entertainment, a leading TV movie and miniseries producer known for its Hallmark Hall of Fame line."

According to the deal, "the Weinstein Co. will co-produce and co-finance new TV movies, series and miniseries; under the other, Genius will serve as the North American home video and digital distributor of the former Hallmark Entertainment's library of more than 600 titles."

Because of this new agreement it looks like Genius "will grow its library by 40-50 films a year during the next five years. With the initial influx of 600 RHI programs, the Genius library automatically increases to more than 1,800 titles."

The "worldwide television distribution of all titles will be handled by RHI."

In addition to putting together "five major-network miniseries that will be distributed by Genius", RHI hopes "to produce annually some 40 TV movies for Spike TV, the Sci Fi Channel and the Hallmark Channel."
