The Wolverine just finished reshoots this past Sunday, but don't worry. This is no indication that the film is in any kind of trouble. These pick-up shots were actually for a new scene being added to the movie as a potential end credits stinger. And a source close to the production has revealed that an old friend was on set for the proceedings.

Warning! Major Spoilers! lie ahead.

The reshoot consisted of one scene, set at an airport. There, Logan meets up with Professor Xavier, a role being reprised by franchise favorite Patrick Stewart. This reshoot does not affect the release date of the film, and is reportedly being added as a post credits cookie, much like we've seen done in the Marvel Phase One and Two films.

The scene in question finds Wolverine and Xavier meeting at a terminal, with the action going into a freeze frame. The Wolverine supposedly takes place after the action seen in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand. If you remember in that movie, Professor Xavier dies.

Though Professor Xavier's mind is transplanted into his brain dead twin brother during X-Men: The Last Stand's own post-credit stinger, sources say that this is the one and only original professor.

It is doubtful that The Wolverine will explain how or why Professor X is alive, with many speculating that this one scene will lead directly into the upcoming franchise sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past, which stars both Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart. It should be of note that Xavier wasn't seen on set with his iconic wheelchair. And that he is standing when he meets a shocked Logan.

What do you think? Is this a cool way to connect the two movies?
