Universal Pictures has moved the upcoming comedy The World's End from an October 25, 2013 release date to a favorable summer slot on August 23, 2013. The movie will go up against Sony's fantasy epic The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones and Lionsgate's horror-thriller You're Next on August 23. It was previously scheduled to compete with Paramount's Paranormal Activity 5 and Fox Searchlight's Baggage Claim.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunite for the third and final installment of their Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy (The Three Flavors Cornetto) with director Edgar Wright, following 2004's Shaun of the Dead and 2007's Hot Fuzz.

The comedy centers on Gary King (Simon Pegg) who gets all of his old friends back together to try and compete the massive pub crawl they couldn't finish 20 years prior. Once the drinks start flowing, though, these old pals realize that the bar crawl is the least of their worries. Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Rosamund Pike, and Eddie Marsan also star.

Edgar Wright directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Simon Pegg. We'll keep you posted as soon as a new trailer debuts for this summer comedy.
