When Playstation and Blockade Entertainment released the second trailer for the video game adaptation Heavenly Sword back in February, it still wasn't clear when this CGI-animated adventure will debut. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has released the third trailer with new footage, while setting a September 2 Blu-ray and DVD debut. The feature will also debut day-and-date on Sony's Playstation Network.

Anna Torv (Fringe) lends her voice to Nariko, the guardian of a mysterious sword with incredible powers, which is sought by the nefarious King Bohan (voiced by Alfred Molina). Take a look at the latest footage, along with the Blu-ray and DVD artwork for Heavenly Sword, which also features Thomas Jane voicing Loki.

A dramatic tale of revenge, Heavenly Sword centers on Nariko (Anna Torv), a trained warrior with flaring red hair, who gracefully possesses a titular, sought after blade with incredible powers. As the sword's guardian, she must face a megalomaniacal ruler, King Bohan (Alfred Molina), and his unyielding army, who are determined to obtain the powerful sword for their own manipulation.
