As we race toward Infinity War like an army of Wakandans ready to do battle with Thanos, there's no shortage of news from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the multitude of licensed Marvel properties. We even got news that a Rom Spaceknight movie is moving ahead, though Rom exited Marvel for the Hasbro Universe.

In other Marvel movie news, we got our first look at the Captain Marvel set from the start of production and we learned that fan favorite Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Phil Coulson will return to the big screen. A bunch of super cool character posters were unveiled for Infinity War, though the question remains: where the heck is Hawkeye? Directors Joe and Anthony Russo caught wind of the social media outcry and updated their Facebook cover photo with one of the fan made posters, which puts the missing archer all over the art.

We learned that Infinity War will split its runtime between Earth and space, Thor's character undergoes another evolution, Scarlet Witch and Vision are definitely romantically involved as in the comics, and why Captain Marvel won't be in the movie. Joe Russo also dashed the hopes of fans, like me, who were hoping to see some of the Defenders or other Marvel Netflix characters involved. In his defense, there are already so many moving parts. Never fear! If we want to see Black Widow and Daredevil together, for example, we could always actually read a comic book!

And hey, at least the Netflix shows take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe even if they have yet to crossover. We don't know when or if the X-Men and Fantastic Four will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there's still plenty to be excited about. X-Men: Dark Phoenix and New Mutants have both been moved to 2019, sadly, but that's partly because they are undergoing reshoots, which is likely a good thing.

There's a new extended trailer for Deadpool 2, which appropriately takes some shots at the millennial man bun. It looks like Ryan Reynolds is getting some writing credit for the sequel, which rules, as did the good-natured twitter back and forth between Deadpool and Wonder Woman's real life counterparts. Speaking of the Merc with a Mouth, we learned that the animated series Donald Glover and his brother were developing for FX has been called off. We were able to confirm that Terry Crews is playing X-Force mutant Bedlam. And we even made a video with a primer and/or refresher, depending on who you are, about all things Cable. Given the fourth wall breaking meta humor in Deadpool, I'd place money on the idea that Deadpool 2 will somehow reference the various movie continuities.

Tom Hardy has gotten in on the social media fun, too, trolling in response to a rumor that his Venom standalone movie for Sony may not feature him in the costume. And finally, we got a new trailer for Cloak and Dagger, based on one of my favorite Marvel comics from back in the day. The series is set to premiere this summer on Disney's young adult network, Freeform.
