After Ant-Man hits theaters Marvel will kick off its massive Phase Three slate with Captain America: Civil War, arriving in theaters next May. One of the nine Phase Three movies is the third Thor adventure, Thor: Ragnarok, which is set for release on November 3, 2017. The studio has not announced a director for the sequel at this time, but, during an appearance on the Marvel Movie News podcast on Youtube, Heroic Hollywood's El Mayimbe revealed that the studio is considering bringing back original Thor director Kenneth Branagh for Thor: Ragnarok. Here's what El Mayimbe had to say below.

"I was hearing that Marvel wanted Kenneth Branagh back for Thor 3. But, he just got an offer to direct Murder on the Orient Express at Fox. So, I don't know if it is going to happen or not. They're thinking about bringing him back into the fold."

This isn't the first time we've heard about Kenneth Branagh returning to the MCU. A report surfaced in March where Kenneth Branagh revealed he would consider coming back for Thor 3 if Marvel would ask him. Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are expected to come back as Thor and Loki, but no other cast members have confirmed at this time, and it isn't know when produciton may begin.
