Thor 3 is moving forward with writers Craig Kyle (producer on Thor and Thor: The Dark World) and Christopher Yost (one of the writers on Thor: The Dark World).

Chris Hemsworth will return as Thor in this third chapter of the ongoing Marvel saga, with Kevin Feige set to produce. No plot details have been revealed at this time.

Craig Kyle most recently served as senior Vice President of production and development at Marvel. While he has served as a writer on many of Marvel's animated TV series, this is his first crack at writing a Marvel screenplay for feature film. Kevin Feige had this to say about the writers.

"I am proud of Craig and have enjoyed working with him over these past years. His creative instincts have helped shape Thor and Thor: The Dark World) at every level of the filmmaking process. The entire team at Marvel is very happy to continue collaborating with Craig as he continues as a screenwriter working with Christopher on the forthcoming chapter of Thor's adventure."

Christopher Yost did a final polish on Thor: The Dark World.

Marvel is moving quick to secure its Phase Three slate, which will also include Captain America 3. The studio recently confirmed returning Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo for this sequel. Ant-Man, directed by Edgar Wright and starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Michael Pena, will kick off Phase Three in 2015, and it is rumored to end with The Avengers 3 in 2019. Doctor Strange may be the final film in this line-up, unless Marvel decides to go with Black Panther instead.
