Neighbors screenwriters Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O'Brien have sold an original pitch to 20th Century Fox entitled Thrill Ride which they both plan to direct.

This horror comedy, which is being compared to This Is the End and Scream, follows a group of students at a school where bullying has become an everyday occurrence. The school rents out an amusement park for Senior Night, where the kids can experience all of the rides and games without the hassle of long lines. When students begin to die in complex ways, they learn a serial killer is stalking all of the different senior bullies and other bad seeds at school, forcing opposing cliques to join forces and stop this killer before it's too late.

Peter Warren is writing the full screenplay, with Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O'Brien set to direct and produce alongside Peter Chernin's Chernin Entertainment. No production schedule was given.

Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O'Brien are coming off the success of Neighbors, which grossed over $150 million domestically. They are also teaming with Chernin Entertainment on Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Peter Warren wrote for MTV's Happyland.
