Lately, several comedians have come under fire for jokes which many consider as going too far and crossing a line. More recently, actress-comedian Tiffany Haddish and comedian Aries Spears have been brought into a legal fray for allegedly for grooming and coercing two siblings into filming two separate sexually explicit skits in 2013 and 2014. The allegations have created a huge backlash online, with thousands of people commenting on Haddish and Spears' alleged behavior. For the first time since those charges, the Girls Trip star, who now says she regrets the pedophile sketch and that the joke was not funny at all, has posted comments on Instagram regarding the incidents:

“I know people have a bunch of questions. I get it. I’m right there with you. Unfortunately, because there is an ongoing legal case, there’s very little that I can say right now.”

She adds:

“But clearly, while this sketch was intended to be comedic, it wasn’t funny at all – and I deeply regret having agreed to act in it. I really look forward to being able to share a lot more about this situation as soon as I can.”

Making matters worse, a Def Comedy Jam 25 clip of Haddish performing stand-up is going viral, and Twitter users are not happy with the joke.
