Tim Allen and George Lopez have signed up to co-star in the new comedy, Amigos for Touchstone Pictures.

Variety reports the two comedians will play mismatched in-laws who have to raise their granson together; the film concept was an idea of Tim Allen.

Tim, along with Todd Garner (The Benchwarmers, xXx) will serve as producers on the Seth Greenland script.

Amigos will start production sometime next year.
