Tim Meadows will star in the comedy, Walk Hard for Columbia Pictures.
John C. Reilly, Jenna Fischer and Kristen Wiig are already part of the cast; Jake Kasdan is directing; he also co-wrote the screenplay with Judd Apatow. The film pokes fun at the musician biopic genre and centers on a singer named Dewey Cox (Reilly) who overcomes adversity to become a musical legend. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Meadows will play the drummer in Reilly's band. Also cast in the movie is Raymond J. Barry, who will play Cox's cold and angry father who is constantly telling him he is a failure.
Walk Hard is scheduled to start shooting this month in Los Angeles.
