Warner Bros. Television has released a first-look image of series star Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson (aka Robin) from the upcoming DC Super Hero series Titans, from Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The Robin super suit was designed by renowned costume designer Laura Jean Shannon, whose credits include Black Lightning, Iron Man and The Jungle Book, among others. Titans is set to debut in 2018 on the DC-branded direct-to-consumer digital service, operated by Warner Bros. Digital Networks.

From executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, Titans is an all-new live-action drama series that follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and many others. Titans is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

While most readers need no introduction to Dick Grayson, he's described by the show as having once been Batman's famous sidekick, Robin. After Dick's parents were murdered during their high-flying circus act, Bruce Wayne became Dick's legal guardian and trained him to fight crime beside him. But after years as part of the Dynamic Duo, Dick struggled to find his place outside the Dark Knight's shadow. Finally striking out as his own man, he emerges as a leader, mentor and father figure to his new family, the Titans. It isn't clear when production will begin on this season, but it's possible that it may start very soon.

Brenton Thwaites leads a talented young cast that also inclucdes Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Anna Diop as Starfire, Lindsey Gort as Amy Rohrbach, Minka Kelly as Dove, Ryan Potter as Garfield "Gar" Logan and Teagan Croft as Raven. Titans will be written by Akiva Goldsman (Star Trek: Discovery, Underground), Geoff Johns (President & Chief Creative Officer, DC Entertainment; The Flash, Arrow) and Greg Berlanti (Arrow, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl). Goldsman, Johns, Berlanti and Sarah Schechter (Arrow, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl) are executive producers of the series from Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

This series was first put into development back in 2014, but after nearly two years of development, it was announced in January 2016 that this Titans show was officially dead. Then it came back to life this past April, and now the cast has been assembled with production likely starting soon. Take a look at this first look photo of Robin in Titans, courtesy of Warner Bros.
