Titus Welliver has joined the cast of Michael Bay's upcoming sci-fi sequel Transformers 4.

Plot details on the film are few and far between, but the studio already confirmed that Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Bingbing Li, Han Geng and T.J. Miller will all be involved with the project.

Titus Welliver is best known for playing Bates in Ben Affleck's Best Picture winning Argo. He most recently appeared in Dean Parisot's action sequel Red 2.

Production is currently under way.
