Netflix has revealed some brand new photos from To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You. The sequel will see the return of Lana Condor as Lara Jean and Noah Centineo as Peter. When we last left the happy couple, they were just getting started. When we pick up with them next year, they'll be in a relationship. But a third party is going to enter the equation that will put Lara square in the middle of a messy love triangle.

John Ambrose McClaren, played by Jordan Fisher (Rent, Grease Live) is someone we met at the very end of the first movie. He's set to become a more prominent figure in the To All The Boys I've Love Before sequel, as teased in these first-look photos. Two of the photos see Lara and Peter getting along quite well with one another, the perfect portrait of a happy couple. Yet, another photo sees Lara dancing with John, with the two dressed to the nines. Another photo brings Lara's family back into the equation. Director Michael Fimognari had this to say about what to expect from the sequel.

"Jenny [Han] constructed a book trilogy starting with Lara Jean alone in her room, reading romance novels and fantasizing about what it means to be in love, to getting that, and now [in the sequel], dealing with it. And we still have the little drop in the pond that was created in the first movie, which is these love letters that got sent out, and the ripple of that gets to come back."

Jenny Han wrote a trilogy of books and, given the success that the first movie enjoyed, Netflix was quick to develop the full trilogy. The following two sequels were shot back-to-back, which should help decrease the gap between the second and third movies. Lana Condor had this to say about the relationship between John and Lara that will be at the center of To All the Boys I've Loved Before 2.

"They're true friends. But because you can love your friend very much, you get confused. You're like, 'Do I love him or do I love him as a friend?' So he's really there to mix it up."

There are certainly those who just want to see Lara and Peter (Noah Centineo) be happy together. But would it be a good rom-com without some drama? As Michael Fimognari explains it, they're hoping fans will pick sides, similar to the whole Edward or Jacob situation that unfolded during the Twilight saga.

"We certainly want there to be a Team Peter and a Team John."

To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You is set to arrive on Netflix on February 12, 2020, just in time for Valentine's Day. A date hasn't been set for To All the Boys: Always and Forever Lara Jean just yet. Be sure to check out the new photos for yourself below, which were first shared by Entertainment Weekly.
