Toby Kebbell has been chosen to play the nefarious Victor Von Doom, a.k.a. Doctor Doom in 20th Century Fox's The Fantastic Four reboot. We reported last month that Domhnall Gleeson (About Time), Eddie Redmayne (Les Miserables; Jupiter Ascending), Sam Riley (Maleficent) and Jack Huston (American Hustle) were also in contention for the coveted role.

When the deal is finalized, Toby Kebbell joins a cast that includes Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing.

Josh Trank (Chronicle) is directing from a script by Simon Kinberg, based on Marvel's Ultimate Fantastic Four comic book series which featured younger versions of these heroes. Matthew Vaughn, Simon Kinberg and Gregory Goodman are producing, with production scheduled to begin next month in Baton Rogue, Louisiana.

Toby Kebbell most recently starred in The East and The Counselor, and he will next portray the ape Koba in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
