Tom Cruise has been discovering the perils of filming in the Lake District while shooting for his upcoming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two. After seeing a number of filming delays on the first part of his two part Mission: Impossible story due to Covid, the latest production was recently forced to shut down for a short while for a much more humorous reason; an invasion of sheep.

Cruise has been filming most of his upcoming M:I movies in the U.K., and while he has recently been seen taking on some dangerous stunts, even Cruise couldn’t do anything when the set became flooded with sheep, causing the crew to take a short filming break to clear the area. In images shared by Fox News, Cruise is seen stepping to one side to allow the large flock to pass through before he could get back to work being the action hero everyone loves.

Some recent filming delays have been quite lengthy for one reason or another, but it seems that this time around there was just a short interruption and no one was forced to take time off, and no props were damaged. This is certainly the least inconvenient delay seen recently, with recent Mission: Impossible shoots having had month-long Covid stoppages, as well as issues caused when a motorcycle stunt ended in a fire that destroyed part of the set. Having a flock of sheep passing by every now and then is probably something Cruise would certainly take over the more serious problems faced by productions of late.

Tom Cruise Has Been Throwing Himself Into His Mission: Impossible Role

Whatever anyone thinks of Tom Cruise, the actor has put himself in a league of his own when it comes to throwing himself into filming stunts for his movies. Whether it is throwing himself from a plane, paragliding across the countryside or having a fist-fight on top of a moving train, Cruise is always right in the think of the action. That has not changed while shooting his allegedly final Mission: Impossible movie.

For his latest piece of death-defying footage, Cruise was seen filming a white-knuckle stunt on an airplane, and he wasn’t sitting comfortably in a cockpit for it either. However, the actor just can’t seem to stop himself from taking his daring feats to a new level with every movie, and even hurting himself in the past doesn’t make him think twice. He previously said:

"I am a very physical actor and I love doing them. I study and train and take a lot of time figuring it all out. I have broken a lot of bones! The first time of any stunt is nerve-wracking, but it's also exhilarating. I have been told a few times during shooting a stunt to stop smiling!"

Tom Cruise will be seen as Ethan Hunt next summer when Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One arrives in cinemas with the second part debuting a year later. Along with Cruise, the movie stars Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Frederick Schmidt, Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, Esai Morales, Rob Delaney, Charles Parnell, Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss, and Cary Elwes.
