Rising star Tom Hardy is said to be circling yet another high-profile project with Snow White and the Huntsman, according to The Playlist.

Tom Hardy is nearing a deal with Relativity Media to play Eric, the Huntsman in this new adaptation, which we first reported on last month. Hardy will apparently be able to squeeze this project in between This Means War, which he's currently filming, and his unknown role in Batman 3.

Relativity Media is also vying for actress Angelina Jolie to portray the villain Ravenna, the evil queen who sets the Huntsman after her stepdaughter, Snow White, with orders for the Huntsman to kill her. Instead, he becomes her mentor, shackled to Snow White for much of the story as they make their escape. Angelina Jolie is reportedly interested in the project, although it isn't clear if she will be available yet.

Rupert Sanders will make his directorial debut with the project, directing from a script by Evan Daugherty. Snow White and the Huntsman is said to be eyeing an early 2011 production start date.
