Maybe Florence Pugh could be Tom Holland's next co-star in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the past, Holland has been open about being a fan of Pugh's Yelena Belova character, first introduced alongside Scarlett Johansson in Black Widow. Pugh has since reprised the role more recently in the Disney+ series Hawkeye and her future in the MCU seems bright, and we will likely see Yelena back on-screen again soon enough.Meanwhile, Holland is still riding the wave of immense success from his latest movie Spider-Man: No Way Home. The Spider-Man producers have made it clear that they want Holland to return for more movies, though he hasn't yet officially signed on for any more at this time. He's thinking about different possibilities though and even divulged that he's talked with Pugh about teaming up their characters in their own project. Speaking about the subject on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, here's what Holland had to say about a Spider-Man/Yelena Belova crossover.

"It hasn't been suggested to the big bosses yet, but Florence and I have definitely spoken about it, and hopefully one day we can make that happen. That would be very cool."

For fans wanting to see this happen, it's good to know that Holland and Pugh have already spoken about it with both seemingly on board. Holland has said in the past that he'd love to co-star with Pugh in a Marvel project. Talking with Entertainment Tonight in December, Holland pointed to Pugh as someone he wanted to make a movie with next.

"I want to work with Florence Pugh. I think she's amazing. She's so good in that movie [Black Widow] and all the movies she's done. I think she's fantastic. A really cool Spider-Man / Black Widow movie would be a fun little twist."

Because of the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spidey producers Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige have both said they hope to see Tom Holland back for more movies. There are even tentative plans in place for him to star in another Spider-Man trilogy. However, Holland han't officially signed on for more project and continues to play coy about whether or not he will be back as Spider-Man in the future.

"The truth is, and you're not going to like the truth, I don't know the answer to that question," Holland told Deadline of his future in the role. "This film for me was as special as an experience could ever be. Sharing the screen with these guys. Playing Spider-Man could be quite an alienating experience because, you know, we're the only three blokes who have done it. So, to share that with you two, it's been such a wonderful experience, of which I have such amazing memories. I don't know, there's part of me that feels like it's the perfect time to jump off the building and swing off into the sunset and let the next lucky young kid come in to don the suit, or I might, I don't know, buy a new house and need a paycheck and I'll be back."

Tom Holland's latest venture as Spider-Man can be seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home which is still playing in many movie theaters. Florence Pugh can also be seen a Yelena Belova in both Black Widow and Hawkeye, and each of them are streaming on Disney+.
