Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland has responded following Sony producer Amy Pascal’s recent revelation that they, along with Marvel Studios, have another three movies planned in the Spider-Man franchise. While speaking on Quotidien, a French talk show, Holland remained standoffish when discussing his future as the iconic web-slinging superhero, with the actor, who has become quite infamous for dropping spoilers, keeping his cards surprising close to his chest.

"Listen, all I'll say is we have some very, very exciting things to be talking about. I don't know what those things are or what they will transpire to mean. But it looks like it's an incredibly bright future ahead, and as I've said before, Spider-Man will forever live in me."

Pascal’s announcement that another trilogy is currently being planned following the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home seemingly came out of nowhere, and it appears that the news was also a big shock to Tom Holland himself, with the actor none-the-wiser to any details regarding the further adventures of Peter Parker. "This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie," Pascal recently explained. "We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel, it just isn't part of… we're thinking of this as three films, and now we're going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies."

Since Pascal’s announcement, Sony has slowed things down somewhat, with insiders saying that there are no official plans for a trilogy at this time. Whatever the outcome, it certainly sounds like Holland has a lot of love for the character, declaring that Spider-Man will live within him whether he returns for more or not, with the actor eagerly anticipating conversations regarding his future with Marvel and Sony.

Whether Holland will continue his tenure as Spider-Man remains largely unknown, with the actor himself recently casting some doubt over reprising the role, and even positing a potential replacement for Peter Parker. "Maybe it is time for me to move on,” Holland said. “Maybe what's best for Spider-Man is that they do a Miles Morales film. I have to take Peter Parker into account as well, because he is an important part of my life...[but] If I'm playing Spider-Man after I'm 30, I've done something wrong."

Spider-Man: No Way Home will pick up with the friendly neighborhood superhero following Peter Parker's identity as Spider-Man being exposed by Mysterio. With his life and reputation having now been turned upside down, Parker decides to ask his friend and colleague Doctor Strange to help restore his secret identity with magic. Unfortunately for both Parker and The Sorcerer Supreme, the spell goes horribly awry, thanks seemingly to Peter’s inability to keep his mouth shut, and breaks open the madness of the multiverse, allowing supervillains from alternate realities who have previously fought a variant of Spider-Man to arrive in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Directed by Jon Watts and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, and starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, and Benedict Wong, Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled to be released in the United States on December 17, 2021, as part of Phase Four of the MCU. This comes to us from Quotidien.
