Tom Tykwer is set to direct the new thriller The International. According to The Hollywood Reporter, X Filme is producing the project alongside Sony Pictures Entertainment and Studio Babelsberg.
The film revolves around an Interpol agent who attempts to expose a high-profile financial institution's role in an international arms dealing ring.
The film stars Clive Owen, Naomi Watts and Armin Mueller-Stahl. It begins shooting in September.
