What Happens in Vegas director Tom Vaughan is directing an adaptation of Christopher Buckley's romantic comedy novel Boomsday for GreeneStreet Films. According to Variety, Ronald Bass and Jen Smolka will be penning the screenplay.
The story follows a young Washington DC publicist who suggests via her blog that all of the senior citizens in the United States commit suicide to solve the Social Security Crisis. A handsome politician decides to take up her cause, leading to many complications both romantically and politically.
No actors have been signed to the project, and a start date has not yet been announced.
