During The Walt Disney Company's second quarter and six month results report, given on Tuesday (click here), Disney Chief Executive Robert Iger has confirmed that work on a sequel to Pixar's Toy Story franchise has begun, although no release date has been set.

Previous reports had Disney cancelling its plans for a sequel, but the project has since been reinvigorated as Disney has acquired Pixar. The studios in-house animators are currently working on the new project.
