Michael Bay is looking for service men and women from the U.S. Air Force to appear as extras in Transformers 2. According to an article placed in The Air Force Times, Bay wants to use service members as much as possible for the film.

Portions of the first Transformers film were filmed at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico and Edwards Air Force Base in California. That film featured real and CGI F-22A Raptors and MH-53 Pave Lows and CV-22 Ospreys. It seems safe to assume that Bay is reaching for the same level of realism for Transformers 2 that he achieved in the first Transformers.

Transformers 2 is scheduled for a June 26, 2009 release date.
