Casting is under way for the reality show where four Chinese actors will be chosen for speaking roles in director Michael Bay's Transformers 4. Click on the image below to visit the show's official website, then read on for more information.

Sidney Ganis' Jiaflix Enterprises, which is producing the show entitled Transformers 4 Chinese Actor's Talent Search, expects anywhere between 50,000 and 80,000 actors to enter the competition. Of the four winners, the show will select two professional actors and two amateurs. Here's what Sidney Ganis had to say about the series.

"It's the first time it's been done this way in China. It's kind of a western way to do it."

Sidney Ganis will be one of the competition's judges, along with Transformers 4 producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, casting director Denise Chaiman, Paramount's marketing and distribution head Megan Colligan, China Movie Channel (a.k.a. CTV-6) deputy director Jia Qi, and Liang Longfel, VP of CTV-6-owned website M1905.

The first round of the competition will pare the contestants down to the top 400, determined by online voting. The semi-finalists will go through additional auditions and testing before the final, undetermined amount of finalists will go before the judges. The finals will air in June over a five-week stretch on China Movie Channel.
