In 2009, we witnessed the Revenge of the Fallen, in 2011, we found ourselves in the Dark of the Moon. Now, we enter the Age of Extinction as director Michael Bay prepares to unleash the Dinobots onto theater screens for the first time ever, summer 2014.

The Transformers: Age of Extinction title hints at many story possibilities. It could be a direct reference to the Dinobots, or humanity could be on the brink of disaster, with the Autobots and Decepticons ready for an all-out war. It is known that this globetrotting adventure will feature Grimlock (Tyrannosaurus rex), Slag (Triceratops), Sludge (Apatosaurus), Snarl (Stegosaurus), Swoop (Pteranodon) and Paddles (Elasmosaurus) appearing alongside franchise newcomers Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, T.J. Miller and Sophia Myles.

Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura recently spoke about the inclusion of the Dinobots, which were confirmed last week.

"I can not disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the joining of the Dinobots will give the audience new excitement. In addition to Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, the appearance of these classic roles changed, today the world's coolest, most exciting cars will appear in the film, including China's vehicles, whether you are a car enthusiast, you will feast your eyes and be shocked by them."

Transformers: Age of Extinction is being shot in various cities throughout the United States, including Chicago (which was destroyed in the last film) and Detroit, as well as China. Aside from the inclusion of the Dinobots, no story details have been released at this time.
