We may not have to wait very much longer to get out first look at Transformers: The Last Knight. Michael Bay and a very large crew are still hard at work filming the fifth installment of the insanely bankable franchise, but a trailer is on the way. With word coming straight from the director himself, we should be expecting a trailer for the movie as early as next month.

Earlier today, Michael Bay did a live broadcast on the Transformers' Facebook page live from the set. The video was posted to celebrate the last day of filming in the U.K. for the movie and the director showed quite a bit of what was going on, including a bunch of guys dressed in medieval armor as if they were making a Braveheart sequel. More importantly, Michael Bay gave an update as to when we can expect to see the first teaser for Transformers: The Last Knight. Here is what he had to say.

"Hopefully you saw some of our stuff and the internet and we're gonna have a teaser coming out. Not sure if it's going to be November or December."

There was some speculation that a teaser for the fifth Transformers would drop over the summer, perhaps with another Paramount movie like Ben-Hur or Star Trek Beyond. That never came to pass, but we now know that we could finally be getting a look at Transformers 5 within a few weeks. At the very latest, we will be seeing some footage from the movie before the end of the year, assuming Michael Bay is to be believed, which he probably should be. We still know very little in terms of confirmed plot details about the movie, but we know that it will involve King Arthur, Merlin, Nazis and Winston Churchill, in addition to giant transforming alien robots. How or why all of those things are required for a Transformers movie remains to be seen.

During the Facebook Live video Michael Bay also confirmed that both John Goodman and John Turturro will be back for this installment, having both starred in previous Transformers movies. So in addition to a presumably totally bonkers plot, given the previously mentioned information we do have about the movie, Transformers: The Last Knight is also going to feature an absolutely stacked cast. Even though Transformers: Age of Extinction let a lot of fans down, at this point, it is hard not to get our hopes up at least a little bit. Or at the very least, it is tough not to be curious about how this movie is going to come together.

Mark Wahlberg, Tyrese Gibson and Josh Duhamel are also returning for Transformers: The Last Knight and they will be joined by Isabela Moner, Anthony Hopkins, Britain's loneliest dog Freya and Peter Cullen as the voice of Optimus Prime. Transformers: The Last Knight is set to drop on June 23, 2017. We will be sure to keep you up to date as more information about the movie and the first teaser trailer become available.
