Another day, another truckload of dollars for a blockbuster sequel. According to Variety, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen took in a whopping $36.7 million on Friday, which increases its chances of going after the five-day record.

The film now has a three-day cumulative gross of $125.9 million and the film is inching closer to The Dark Knight's five-day record haul of $203.8 million. Some analysts predict the film's five-day total will end up north of $190 million, while others think it could break The Dark Knight's record.

eRc Box Office's box office estimates puts the film's weekend take at $115 million, with a five-day total of $205 million.
