The seventh film in the cult classic Tremors series Tremors: Island Fury began filming in Thailand last week. And to celebrate the beginning of principal photography, the official Tremors Instagram page shared a fun video intro with Gross looking like a homeless Santa Clause. And before you say anything, I know what you're thinking. Is that Napoleon Dynamite and Flaca from Orange Is the New Black hanging out with the South Bend Shovel Slayer on vacation? And to that question, I have to say, yes, crazy as it sounds, yes that is Jon Heder and Jackie Cruz hugging all up on the new My Name is Earl version of Burt Gummer.

And speaking of Cruz, the My Own Worst Enemy and Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami actress also took to Instagram to share a pic of herself getting all kinds of chummy-chummy with Tremors: Island Fury and What Happened to Monday, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again actress Cassie Clare. She writes, "Meet FREDDIE (MUA) and ANNA. We be kicking some pea brain Graboid ass."

And while we're here and sharing all the Tremors 7 behind the scenes Instagram pics and videos we can find, the new film's FX mastermind, Mark Douglas shared a video recently over on Instagram himself. Not to spoil what happens in the video, but let me just say that... it's explosive.

For those who might not know, this new Tremors movie will see the return of Beyond Valkyrie: Dawn of the 4th Reich and The Scorpion King: Book of Souls director Don Michael Paul to the director's chair after having lent his talents to the franchise twice before in the past with Tremors 5: Bloodlines and Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell. Tremors 3: Back to Perfection, Tremors 5: Bloodlines, and Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell screenwriter John Whelpley will be sitting this new film out. He has been replaced by Inside Man: Most Wanted and Man Camp scribe Brian Brightly.

Along with Michael Gross as Burt Gummer, Jon Heder as Jimmy, Jackie Cruz as Freddie, and Cassie Clare as Anna, the cast for Tremors: Island Fury includes 31 and 3 from Hell actor Richard Brake as Bill, Caroline Langrishe as Jas, and Boonma Lamphol as Ishimon. Other actors currently attached to play some truly colorfully named characters are Sahajak Boonthanakit as Mr. Bowtie, Bear Williams as Mohawk, David Asavanond as Pretty Boy, Randy Kalsi as Wall Street, Iris Park as Researcher Iris, and Aukrawut Rojaunawat as Parkour Boy.

Tremors: Island Fury will see the return of once upon a time Family Ties actor Michael Gross as franchise hero Burt Gummer who must return to action when the deadly Graboids are back after a rich playboy looking for a trophy hunt illegally brings them to his new island resort. While there isn't currently word on just when Tremors 7 will bring the island fury, these updates come to us from Jackie Cruz's Instagram.
