The Cannes Film Festival is in full swing this week, with DreamWorks Animation and 20th Century Fox hitting the Croisette to debut new footage from their animated feature Trolls, arriving in theaters November 4. For those who aren't at the film festival in France, the studio has released a first look clip from the movie, featuring Justin Timberlake's Branch and Anna Kendrick's Poppy meeting a new friend. It's been several months since the first trailer arrived in January, so hopefully we'll be getting a second trailer very soon.

From the creators of Shrek comes the most smart, funny and irreverent animated comedy of the year, DreamWorks' Trolls. This holiday season, enter a colorful, wondrous world populated by hilariously unforgettable characters and discover the story of the overly optimistic Trolls, with a constant song on their lips, and the comically pessimistic Bergens, who are only happy when they have trolls in their stomach. DreamWorks' and 20th Century Fox's Trolls is a fresh, broad comedy filled with music, heart and hair-raising adventures.

This autumn, nothing can prepare you for the new Troll world. Featuring original music from Justin Timberlake, the film stars the voice talent of Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Russell Brand, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Russell Brand, Zooey Deschanel, Jeffrey Tambor, Christine Baranski, James Corden, Kunal Nayyar, Ron Funches, Icona Pop, Quvenzhané Wallis, with John Cleese and Gwen Stefani. Trolls will hit theaters on November 4, going up against Marvel's Doctor Strange, Lionsgate's Hacksaw Ridge and Warner Bros.' Bastards.

Shrek Forever After duo Mike Mitchell and Walt Dohrn co-directed Trolls, from a script by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, who have written all three of the Kung Fu Panda movies. This animated comedy adventure is produced by Gina Shay, and is based on the iconic dolls made popular in the 60s. It's too early to tell if Trolls will be a bit hit at the box office or not, but this movie certainly does have a large fan base. We'll have to wait and see if they head to theaters this fall to see these Trolls come to life.

Aside from providing music for the movie, Justin Timberlake will lend his voice to Branch, a hilariously hardcore survivalist who hides his surprising true colors. We'll be sure to keep you posted as soon as a new trailer or other footage is released from Trolls before it hits theaters this November. Until then, check out this video from the Cannes Film Festival below.
