The writer-director of 1982's Tron, Steven Lisberger, has sold his sci-fi script Soul Code to Reliant Pictures. According to Variety, the director wrote the futuristic tale after being persuaded by IGN hostess Jessica Chobot.

The film will revolve around a tech pioneer who has figured out a way to download and transfer a person's memory. Much of the plot deals with an older woman uploading her thoughts into the body of a teenager.

Reliant's Thom Mount stated, "The same way Tron was ahead of its time, this is way ahead of its time." The film does not yet have a set start date.
