Production hasn't started on Season 5 of True Blood yet, but one of the show's stars has revealed that there will be a whole lot of new blood on when the series returns next summer. Actor Joe Manganiello, who plays the werewolf Alcide Herveaux, recently stated that the show's producers are casting a new pack of werewolves for Season 5. Here are his comments.

"Oh my god, I can't f-ing wait. The fact that they're basically busy casting an entire new pack of werewolves is unbelievable. There's going to be like a werewolf show within the show this year, so I'm like a kid about it!"

Dale Dickey (Winter's Bone) has been cast as Annie, the mother of Marcus (Daniel Buran). Other new werewolves include Rikki, an alluring young female werewolf, and J.D., a chiseled lycanthrope in his 50s, who may or may not be Alcide's father. Here's what Joe Manganiello had to say about Alcide's father appearing in True Blood.

"It may not be what you expect. Alcide's dad is in [Charlaine Harris' fifth Sookie novel]. Whether or not he makes an appearance...Well, that's a question for [executive producer] Alan [Ball]."

Last week, Carrie Preston exclusively revealed she has read the first script for True Blood Season 5, and that production will begin after Thanksgiving.
