Marvel's Daredevil, which is currently in production for Netflix, has finally found its love interest. True Blood star Deborah Ann Woll will play Karen Page, Matt Murdock's greatest ongoing romance from the comic books.

Deborah Ann Woll will star opposite Charlie Cox in the 13-episode series, which follows a blind lawyer by day, crime-fighting hero by night who protects New York's dangerous Hell's Kitchen area and its citizens.

Karen Page is the longest running love interest for Matt Murdock in the original Marvel comic books. The character was created by Stan Lee and first appeared in 1964. She is a secretary at Murdock's law firm, Nelson & Murdock, and she eventually learns of Matt's secret life as a superhero. Ellen Pompeo originated the character on screen in 2003's Daredevil starring opposite Ben Affleck.

The Netflix series will be the first time the character is accurately portrayed on screen as she was in the comic books, with her role in the feature film just a throwaway bit part.

Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus) is the showrunner on Marvel's Daredevil, replacing Drew Goddard who left earlier this year to concentrate on his feature film work. He remains with the production as an executive producer and story consultant.

Netflix will debut all 13-episodes of Marvel's Daredevil sometime in 2015. The series will lead into three other new Marvel series, including Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, all of which will culminate in The Defenders miniseries.
