A new TNT series has not been trusted with another season. Accoding to The Hollywood Reporter, TNT has cancelled its new series Trust Me.

The show premiered in January to so-so ratings, with 3.4 million viewers tuning in for the pilot, which was about half of the lead-in audience for the network's hit series, The Closer. The audience dropped significantly in the second week, with just 1.9 million viewers.

The move doesn't come as much of a surprise, with rampant speculation about the series' demise for most of the season and series star Eric McCormack already booking another new pilot, an untitled comedy from Tad Quill for ABC.
